The check eng light came on. The codes showed that cylinders 1 3 5 were misfiring. this is a 1998 cadillac catera. Drove good yesterday....light came on today. what's the problem? THANKS
Well 1,3,and 5 are all bank one up against the fire wall. When you replaced the precat was it blown out? If so it might be caught up in the Y pipe or in the main cat. I highly doubt that the injectors are your problem. On 3.5 lately seeing more an more precat problems.... Mostly because people driven them when the car is misfiring.

Ignition coil installation
It doesn't have a coil. It has a bank of 3 coils with direct contact to the plugs.
Remove the cover on each side which is on top of the valve covers. This will expose the coil packs.
