Sometime wont start up after setting for a few hours

loose/weak grounding cable tied somewhere to the frame/starter/engine

if it uses a carburator it might be overflowting have the carb checked and the petrol flowter re- ajusted

I would suspect you may have a defective ignition starter switch.

I suspect you have a failing electric fuel pump inside the fuel tank. To confirm this is the problem get a can of spray starting fluid from the auto parts store, when you experience the next no start spray the starting fluid into the air intake hose to the engine while a friend cranks it over with the starter, if it starts right up you likely have a defective fuel pump.

If you battery is charged, sound like a starter problem or a ignition key switch problem.

have your battery checked,sometimes when we fix the charging problem we over look the battery.if it was damaged from the alternator being bad and it was not recharged properly then is can be broken inside.you can not see this.a load test on the battery will show this damage.

Sounds like a crank sensor.

Put a voltmeter on battery. It should say something like 12 volts. Start motor and see if you have about 14.5 volts while running. If not your charging system has failed.

need more inform if you hear the startor turn over the engine when the car wont start

SOUNDS LIKE THE CRANK SENSOR POSS. AS I HAVE ONE HERE THAT I JUST DIAGNOSED FOR THE SAME THING WITH A SCAN TOOL WHEN WE FINALLY GOT IT NOT TO START. I'LL FOLLOW UP AFTER SENSOR INSTALL
