Hi, I own Toyota Emina Estima TD permanent 4WD model 1996. I'm encountering problem on the power or transmission gear train. Just recently, I replaced the front transmission transfer case after it broke due to still unknown reason. After the replacement of the broken case I am still encountering the same problem of the transmission or power train that seems to be locking while on acceleration or deceleration with metal grumbling noise. I sense that if I continue on using the vehicle it again will break the front transfer case if not already broken.
Please help me on this problem.
Thanks for your concern.
There may be more to it.. Transmission- P.T.O(Front wheels)-Rear Differential(Rear wheels). Or may have Transmission-Transfercase drives front differential(Front wheels) and rear differential(Rear wheels). So if one was rebuilt there should still be another that is still the root of the problem. Find out what exactly was rebuilt.
