I cannot turn the key in the ignition for my 03 chevy monte carlo. key would not even go into the ignition at first, but now i can get it in, but it will not turn at all.
You may have a bad tumbler. Try rocking the steering wheel back and forth while turning the key. Sometimes the steering wheel lock puts too much pressure on the tumbler and the key won't turn. If that fails you will need to replace the key and tumbler.
Tumblers are going bad. Get a locksmith or dealer to replace.
