My driver side front window does not come down but the passanger side front and back and driver back do go up and down. Do i need to change the power window motor or is it the window regulator for driver side. it is a 1993 nissan maxima

Changing a battery should not affect the power window. The computer will be reset when the battery is disconnected. Sounds like a coincidence. Try banging on the door while operating the window switch to see if it will work again. If not, the door will have to be disassembeled for testing/inspection

The same thing happend with my 94 lesabre. I thought it was the switch but i realized that the switch was fine. I went at the junk yard and got my self a power window motor. That is proboably what is wrong with your windows. I recommend that you get yourself new or used window motors and that sould do it!

Check the wires on the driver's door between the door and the post. A break in a wire will affect the passenger side.

sound like power window lock out switch on position locking out windows keep them from working.

So you know the problem

Drivers side switch lowers the window
but doesn't raise it

I have a 2005 Mazda 3. The driver's side power window won't go down...the other 3 windows do (from the left door power switch). When I try to open the driver's window, I hear a noise...maybe like a motor switch?

Check the window switch before you go and rip the doors apart.

If you have a multimeter you can go to the underside of the master panel in the drivers door and independently check the switches for voltage or with no power to the switch assembly check for continuity. Good place to start. If you get continuity to through the switch then you need to check power to the window actuators in the doors.

driver's window goes down and have a hard time getting it to go back up

you will need to bleed the brakes once you are done to get the air out of the lines.
if you need help chaing them please comment back. also you will have to bleed the breaks in a certain order.
start at the passanger side rear than move to the drivers side rear than the passangers side front than the drivers side front.
