well it sounds like a computer issue the one that needs replacement is the " body ecu " it controls the lights, heater, seat belt sound and etc. should be under the dash.
Check the owners manual. Surprisingly all automobile owners manuals have step by step instructions on how to change headlights and tail lights. It's the only subject they describe for the DIY'er.
