I came back from vacation my 2000 honda accord would not start battery is dead. I got a jump from someone. The car started right up but the horn continuously blows and wont shut off. Had to have car towed 200 miles to my home. Is there anything I can do to make horn stop blowing. It is a new battery in the car, so the battery shouldnt be dead in the first place

Your car is in theft mode. Try turning the key in the door. This disarms most factory alarms.

Replace the horn relay;or the horn button on the steering wheel is grounded and energizing the horn. any maintenance involving the steering wheel can be dangerous becaus of the air bag. if you just want to stop the horn, remove the relay, probably located in the fuse box under the hood. check the manual for location, but if your state has a safety inspection it will need to be fixed before the inspection is due

I tried this - it disables the horn but now the head lights, parking lights, and tail lights blink in sequence as if the hazard button had been pushed.

2008 Honda Fit battery. Trying to jump start from battery pack. Clamps on correct terminals, turn on pack and horn blares. I stopped trying to jump it at that point. Trick to this?

No trick to it. It should not be happening. I would disable the horns right at the horns themselves until you get the vehicle started and the battery charging up. Then you can deal with the horns. An electrical genius may have to diagnose it. New car problems are bummers.

I HAVE A 1988 HONDA ACCORD DX,WHEN I TRIED STARTING IT EVERY THING WENT OUT

If there is no power presently, most likely it blew the fusible link, Honda's have a fusible link just off the battery and is located usually along the inside of the passenger fender follow the wire from the battery and you will find it, most likely that is the culprit, good luck.

I returned home from a week vacation and left my 2009 Honda Civic in the garage completely fine, no trouble at all. When I got back and tried to start it up, it was completely dead. Ok, dead battery was...

The first thing I want to mention is that if the vehicle goes crazy like that make sure you are jumping it correctly with positive and negative in the right locations. The reason I mention is because if it is jumped incorrectly it will cause the vehicle to make the alarm go off like that and could fry your whole electrical system. Try jumping the car it may be a alarm issue, that goes off when power returns to the vehicle, use the remote to try and shut it off. If that gives you no luck, then turn next to your charging system. This would mean your alternator or starter, either one of the two could have gave out on you during that period. If that still does not work check all your fuses to see if there are any popped, and also try and get it to a autorepair shop, they would be able to determine of a sensor has affected an electrical component within the system. My best gues would be either a short or a problem with your charging system. Those two aspects would be you'r best bet.

Hope This Helps!

Security system/battery

plz check the following and update me
1. Fuel (To be exact proper air/fuel ratio, normally it is about 14/1)
2. Spark (in appropriate moment)
3. Proper timing (the valves should open and close only in appropriate time)
4. Compression in the cylinders (Normal compression is 120 - 170 psi. The engine won't start if the compression is lower than 70 - 80 psi.)
