Heat/Cool Blower stuck at high speed

My 2001 Grand Caravan's blower is stuck at the high speed postion. The blower control appears to work with its dial lighting that changes as the control is turned, but the blower stays "full -tilt". Is this a blower problem or a control problem? Thanks

Thanks Taurusshoguy! Found a replacement after reading your reply ($29 at wrecking yard)and installed it behind the glove box. Works perfect! Thanks for the great tip! Dave

Your issue is usually caused by a bad blower resistor module. The part is not too expensive, and installation is fairly easy. Don

You have a blower motor resistor/power module causing the problem. drop the glovebox door all the way down look to your right and the back of the plug will be looking at you. remove 2 screws and replace part with new part. be sure before you start to remove the ground wire off the battery.

Radio an cigarett lighter don't work and Blower for heat only works on High (2002 dodge caravan) can this be same problem?

blower resistor went bad causing only high speeds, "resistor" makes it slow down, maybe not all the same problem though. check fuses

Have 2001 grand caravan sport 3.3L and the fan switch will only work in the high position, what may be the reason for this? THANKS

sounds like it is the blower fan resistor, there is a wire for every speed of the blower motor. so if a wire burns out, you will loose that speed. the resistor is located behind glove box.

Only High speed blower front on 01 dodge grand carvan

Sounds like you need to replace the Blower Motor Resistor. It is located on the bottom of the heater box about where the passengers left foot would rest, behind glove box. It has 2 screws holding it on.
