I am getting a loud Whining noise from the back of my 1997 Acura RL. I thought it was the tires. I changed them to Yokahamas but the Noise is still quite loud. It seems to get louder the faster you go. (It sounds almost like an airplane taking off a (a loud Whine) The tires and rims are factory spec. Car has 103,115 miles on it. Could this be Rear Wheel Bearings?

Hi yes this does sound like the rear wheel bearings are worn and need replacing, you can find this out by jacking either side rear wheels up one at a time, then spin the wheel, if it sounds graunchy that will be the wheel bearing you can also grab the top and the bottom of the wheel and push & pull top and bottom and if you get movement then that will also be the bearing's ....hope this helps

Yes, most likely. They are quite cheap and not so hard to replace. Check YouTube for tutorials on how to go about it.

1997 acura rl 3.5 WHITE SMOKE no over heating no no noise no smell no loss of coolant only white smoke even driving

Smoke can only be caused by something burning. Only candidates are oil and water. It doesn't take much - maybe even small enough that you won't notice loss over many miles. Check compression on all cylinders. You should see something there.

I'm hearing a very loud whining noise that starts when I hit about 45mph but as the truck gets hot the noise starts at a lower mph. At first I thought it was the tires as I am not used to the larger...

check to see if there's anything loose underneath the car that could get pushed into your tires as you speed up it happened to me it was the wheel well plastic guarding that was torn off and hitting the tire at faster speeds.

Roaring noise in the back while driving.

Most likely a rear wheel bearing........or badly scalloped (rough) tire tread.
