Hi, the relay for AC compressor/Horn are on the left as you look at the car from the front. in the middle are Blower/Hi/Low and On the right,Engine Fan High Engine Fan Low. You may have more or less relaysand they may not be in order.

They are located in the Power Distribution Centre under the hood up near the wipers on the left. The fuses and breakers are on top and the relays are on the bottom.

Find the horn relay because its reasy to honk the horn while you pull the relay that completes the circuit. The one that is dissconnected and the horn wont blow is a good relay. Check the power rating in Amps and switch with the fan relays. You can find the fan by unplugging the coolant temp sensor. This will make the fan run all the time on High Speed (a good temporary fix for traffic jam overheating) and unplugging relays untill the fan stops running

Good Luck.

1993 pontiac bonneville electric cooling fans relay location

Hi, check.........I need to know which fuse runs the cooling... on this forum thread. Its not a fuse if the fan turns but could be fan relay. Unplug the coolant temp sensor lovated just below the thermostat houing and see if the fans come on. If they do, it might be the coolant sensor that is bad.

1993 Pontiac Bonneville

1. Air filter dirty
2. Bad engine ground connection.
3. Loose connection in the ignition system.
4. Faulty idle control system.
5. Faulty emissions or engine control system.
6. Fuel not reaching the injectors.

These are the 6 most common solutions. For yours, i would certainly be checking the engine ground cable, as your gauges are acting up too. Take it right off, clean the rust if there is any. Bend it back and forth every inch or so to see if there are any breaks or melted spots in it. Or, better yet, just throw it away and get a new one. Good luck, hope this helps.

Cooling fan dosent come on when temperture rises(1996 pontiac bonneville se) cooling fan relay where is it located..

You seem to have a bad cooling fan switch...it's connected to the side if the engine and when it gets too hot it turns on your cooling fans. The switch doesn't cost that much, $10 to $15 and takes all of about 15 minutes to replace.
