Click on the following free direct Link. It has the correct Timing Belt Diagram for your 1987 Nissan D21 Pickup with the unspecified 2.4L SOHC In-Line 4, or the 3.0L SOHC V6 Engine.

    1. Is there any logical reason why you did not include that information found in your Comments - in your original Question? I'm a great Mechanic, not a Mind Reader.

    2. That Setting is suppose to be at 10-degrees. You can ****** it (-2-degress) or Advance it (+2-degress).

    3. The Markings on the Crankshaft Pulley and Engine Plate tell you where the Timing is currently at, not necessarily where the Timing suppose to be. You do not "set" this like you set a clock and simply turn the Crankshaft Pulley to Set your Timing.

    4. The Answer originally provided was free. I do not get compensated other than your rating.

    5. I strongly suggest you purchase a Haynes or Chilton Manual available at most auto parts stores for around $20-$30.

    6. This has been reported as Abuse.
