Well it didt it again yesterday will driving about 75 mph......up and died on the interstate....pumped the pedal rapidly and it took off and ran ok......was in town about a cou0ple hours started back and it tried it several times each time I pumped the pedal it straightened out....But just now coming home it died again at about 40 mph pumped the pedal and nothing.....put it up in neutral cranked it and it took off....went to turn around and it died again....started right back up.....will the codes come out of the dash with the 3 key turn trick? It is showing no codes if it works on the 04....I have read were it could be the EGR valve....any ideas?
With a problem like this you must surly have a check engine light on ?
To answer your question yes an EGR valve could cause this problem on a hemi ! But would act up more cold .
And No the key thing wont work on this year of vehicle , you need to have a scanner for OBD 3 to retrieve the codes .
This sounds like a fuel problem to me have you checked fuel pressure ? and for a tuneup , remember the hemi takes 16 spark plugs it could have some of them miss firing .

no engine check engine light...truck seems to to be firing correctly...it just dies...this started happening a few days ago just once...but in the last 2 days it has become worse...Looks like I need to have it scanned for codes...
