How do I replace a rear brake light? Looks like I need to remove the light cover but I cannot get to the top nut that secures it.

    Accessing the Brake Light Bulbs
  1. If you are the owner of a Subaru Outback 2004 or older, you are in luck. Accessing your brake light bulbs is simple. Open your rear hatch (or trunk if your Outback is a sedan) and locate the access panels in the corner of your cargo area. Twist the knobs on the access panel to remove it and access the bulb modules.

How do i access brake light to replace bulb in 2008 subaru outback wagon? Thanks

Thanks for choosing FixYa and welcome to the sight. You should be able to get to it from the trunk. You will need to remove the carpet on the inside wall to get to the bulbs.

Lightbulb replacement for 2000 Subaru outback wagon

all you need to do is remove the clip holding the washer fluid neck filler, once this is out of the way you can access the big gray backing that should have two wires coming out of it. just twist in the direction indicated and remove the cap, now you have access to the back of the bulb, remove the wires attatched to it and remove the metal clip that holds the bulb in place. now just put the new one in. You will see a small tab on the round part of the bulb, below the glass, align it right in the slot and put the metal clip back on and put the wires back on and backing cap and washer filler cap. P.S do not touch the glass on the new bulb, the grease on your fingers will prematurely burn the bulb out.

Need to replace a headlight assembly for a 2006 Subaru Outback.

No, you just remove the radiator grill and the side marker light and the headlight housing bolts and it comes out. Not a real hard job and is Real straight forward. Good luck and have a good day.
