Although it has freeon the high pressure/low pressure sensor could be out preventing it from engaging due to a bad reading. This can be bypassed for testing only by arcing the wires together with a paper clip the sensor sould be on the canister.2 wires .. Or the clutch could be burnt out on the compressor.

1991 honda accord a/c clutch will not ingage full of freon

I'd check the A/C Fuse & Relay- Check your owners manual as it may not have a fuse, but it'll tell you. It could be the switch inside of the car not working properly when you turn the A/C on, but if not It's likely the A/C clutch itself, you'll need a new one or a new conpressor assembly if so.

Thanks & have a great day!

What do I have to do to fix my A/C? The compressor clutch will not ingage. It is an 2006 Kia sorento LX.

Refill your ac gas it's available at any auto parts store that if you have already checked all fuses and relays associated with your ac .if your freon level is to low your ac compressor won't engage .

The AC clutch won't engage on my 2003 Hyundai Sonata SGX. It engages when i run a direct wire from the batter. I checked the voltage to the compressor through the wiring and it's about half a volt. ...

as with any electrical diagnosis you always want to check fuses and relays, but it sounds like 1 of 2 things......... you ethier really low on freon, causing it to cut off the clutch to save the compressor from damage due to lack of oil, (the lack of freon would indicate a leak in the system) Or your clutch switch is bad. resistance of .5 is normal, check the voltage from the harness, should be around 11.45 volts with engine running, if it s not then check your fuses, or relay also look for shorts in the harness along the path to the relay. if your checking the switch itself resistance should be around .5 like said earlier, but check a refrence manual to be absolute. but im sure its low freon or bad clutch switch.

Both headlights stopped working on my 2005 santa fe highbeams work fine where do i begin troubleshooting problems?

First check the 15 amp H/LP (LOW) fuse in the engine compartment relay box. If good, try switching the high beam relay (same box as the fuse) with the low beam relay. If that gets your low beams to work, you need a relay. Please let me know if this doesn't work or if you have any questions.

My air conditioner on my 2006 Hyundai Sonata runs for a couple of days and then blows a fuse. What causes the fuses to blow?

a bad relay will arc on the inside causing increased amp flow. Try replacing the ac relay. $23 for a compressor relay from rockauto.com. This all depends on which fuse is blowing. a wire shorting to ground will just as easily blow a fuse.

2005 Ford Expedition No voltage @ compressor

You should check the freon in the system. If it is low you will not get any power to the compressor. Once you hook up the freon and start to flow it, the compressor will come on. Also, if there is too much pressure in the system, the compressor will protect itself and not come on. This is most likely your problem.

A/c compressor will not come on

A/C Compressors run on pressure. If your system is very low or not freon at all. the compressor will not run. Have your system checked for freon, have some put in and have it checked for possible leaks.
