Yeah , it's a fairly simple repair, All the wheel studs must be replaced and lug nuts also.Closely examine the wheel or get competent tyre replacement company to double check for damage ! Remove the brake disc caliper and brake disc itself (usually 2 cross head screws) , tap off (gently) it may be stuck thru corrosion / rust etc , Broken studs can be knocked out(towards drive shaft ) of the hub assy with a suitable drift and hammer (splined into hub) . The studs are a servicable replacement part. Check all other wheel nuts as this is usually a result from poor fixing or wheel replacement recently .. Good luck

Replace all studs and Torque them to spec. Wheel studs will break because they have been "stretched" by overtightening.Replacement is not too difficult with the right tools and procedure.

Three Wheel studs broken how do I replace preferably cheap?!

Here is some help for you to replace the broken wheel studs on your 2002 Dodge Grand Caravan, you will need to follow these steps:

First, you will need to remove the tire that has the broken studs. You can do this by using a tire jack to lift the car and then using a lug wrench to loosen the lug nuts. Once the lug nuts are loosened, you can remove the tire from the car.

Once the tire is removed, you will need to use a hammer and punch to carefully tap the remaining pieces of the broken studs out of the hub.

Next, you will need to purchase new wheel studs that are compatible with your car. You can find these at an auto parts store or online.

Once you have the new studs, you will need to use a press or a hydraulic tool to press the studs into the hub. Make sure that the studs are pressed in evenly and securely.

Finally, you can replace the tire and lug nuts, and lower the car back to the ground. Test the new studs to make sure that they are secure and that the tire is properly seated on the hub.

2002 dodge grand caravan se 3 studs on driver rear tire broken off during travel money right what can I do

If you are referring to the Lug nuts DO NOT DRIVE THE VEHICLE! The wheel is not securely fastened to the wheel hub. That means it is NOT SAFE TO DRIVE. Get a good mobile mechanic to come to you or get a vehicle recovery service to take it to a good mechanic. Lug nuts and bolt can usually be repaired/replaced and isn't a silly expensive repair. You will need to find out why the nuts failed to prevent it happening again.

I got a flat. when removing lug nuts 2 broke off completely. only have three bolts left to hold tire on

They sure can. Some parts stores like Pep Boys carry not only the original lug nuts (19 mm), but also carry the two studs you need. Remove the wheel assembly and with the two broken studs, take a hammer and on the backside, you'll see a hole to line up the back of the stud, and smack it out with a hammer. To install, if you have an air compressor, put each of the new two studs in one at a time an d buy a regular nut with about an inch of spacers over the stud and then zap it in with an impact wrench. Instead of spacers, I used a huge nut. For safety's sake, take care of the two broken studs as soon as possible, for if left too long, the wheel could fly off while driving. Even if you just remove the two broken studs, put the wheel back on and take it to any shop, they'll be able to zap the two new studs in.

Until Then,

How to get drum pads off a 2000 dodge caravan

The pad drums of your 2000 Dodge Grand Caravan can wear with use. Heat buildup in the brakes can glaze, warp or crack the drum. If that happens, replacement of the drum is the only way to fix it. In most cases, you can remove the rear drums, replace them with a new set and leave the existing shoes on the van. Take a minute and inspect the brake shoes thoroughly while you have the drums off the van.

  1. Loosen the lug nuts on the rear of your 2000 Dodge Grand Caravan with a lug wrench. Do not take them off the wheel studs.
  2. Raise the rear of the van with a jack and support it on a set of jack stands. Place the stands under the rear suspension, making sure they are secure. Remove the lug nuts from the wheel studs and pull off the rear wheels.
  3. Check the rear drum where the wheel studs come through for retaining clips. These are used during the manufacturing process; and if they are still on your van, they need to be removed. Pry the clip off the wheel stud with a flat head screwdriver and discard them. Most vehicles will have two clips on each brake drum.
  4. Grasp the brake drum on the outer edges and pull it straight off the wheel studs and brake pads. Discard the old drum and slide the new drum into place, aligning the holes in the drum with the wheel studs. Push the drum in until it seats completely. Repeat the process on the opposite side of the van.
  5. Position the wheel back on the wheel studs and install the lug nuts by hand. Raise the back of the van with a jack and remove the jack stands from under the suspension. Lower the van to the ground and tighten the lug nuts with a lug wrench.

How do I replace a wheel stud on a 2000 dodge caravan? There is no clearance behind the stud plate.

If you can knock the old one out, get the new one in position, and do not mind destroying a wheel nut or two, I once watched a tire technician use a wheel nut , some washers, and an air gun with socket to pull the stud into position with air pressure.

How to replace rear wheel stud. 2003 dodge caravan

Should be a pressed in wheel stud, remove hub and have old one pressed out or you can do it the primitive way, by double nutting the old stud and striking it with a hammer to pound it out, if threads are bad then just strike the stud by itself , then replace new stud in opposite fashion...

I need to replace a broken wheel stud but could not remove the drum in 2005 dodge grand caravan

get a 4lb sledge hammer and wack the outer face of the drum in a criss cross pattern being careful not to hit too hard or hit lug nut studs, use some liquid wrench around the studs before hitting to dislodge rust bond
