"No Phone" in 2003 Jaguar X-Type

How do you connect a mobile phone to a Jaguar X-Type (53 plate) so that you can use it via the built-in controls and does it make it handsfree? It says "No Phone", but do you need a cable or something and where does the phone go?

I do not have my manual in front of me, but certain VIN numbers do not have the bluetooth installed in the car. I have a 2003 Jaguar X-Type and I have a phone button, but my VIN number was not in the range of jaguars that came equipped with the bluetooth. You can get a phone that has bluetooth and test to see if it finds a bluetooth device (your Car Phone Device).

The manual will do you no good at all there is nothing in there regarding VIN that have bluetooth, if your Vin is not on the range shown in the website, you will need to contact your local Jag dealer to find out if you can fit the upgrade, or if you have it but it's not functioning. Best bet is to call your dealer anyway it's only the cost of a call, they are normally very helpful

You may not be able to, check out www.bluejag.co.uk for info

Testimonial: "Thanks; I have checked the VIN number as recommended by BlueJag and it looks as though it is possible, and it even provides the part number."

How do I connect / pair my DROID Cell Phone to the my 2003 jag S-type

ABSOLUTLY NO IDEA TO BE HONEST ,if it says no phone then perhaps a phone isnt present and needs connecting in via a connection socket somewhere ,one tip i can give though is that if this car is an automatic version and thats to keep`the phone away from the gearchange in the centre consol as the phone emmisions will block out the autobox computer and it will not change gear ,from experiance i know this with more than one car of this model range .

How do i connect my mobile with my x type jaguars phone system

If there is no mobile phone Paired to the
vehicle system and the SIG screen is
displayed, Pairing may be performed as
follows:
Select Phone Mode (if not already
selected).
Use touch-screen keypad to enter the
following digit sequence and press the
Send/End button.
The following sequence performs exactly
the same function, but times-out after
approximately five minutes, ##1#*#.
(If you are not familiar with the Pairing
process, this sequence is NOT
Recommended, because of the time-out
period.)
At the SIG**** screen the vehicle system
is waiting for communication with a
Bluetooth equipped telephone.
Check that your mobile phone is set to the
Jaguar Bluetooth system, using the menu
functions on the phone. Refer to the
handbook that was supplied with your
specific mobile phone.
When Jaguar device is found on the
mobile phone display, the phone will
prompt you to enter the pass key (1313)
on the mobile phone keypad.
When the above operation has been
completed and the phone is successfully
Paired and connected with the vehicle
system, the SIG* screen will be displayed.

53 plate x type/ starts fine but when trying to

u don't say how many miles or ur maintenance schedule but most likely and cheapest is the fuel filters - check with the factory for location they will tell u on the phone - take down the VIN # and call the local dealer and also ask if any factory recalls are in effect or even out of date for a heads up
