There isn't really a pattern you need to follow just use a crisscross pattern from inside to out. I think the torque for those bolts are like 80 inch pounds, not very much

Felpro brand gaskets are the best in the world, not sure about the intake, if it is in the way then yes remove it.

Torque settings for transmission pan on 2000 chevy

Good rule of thumb is 15-18 inch lbs.More important is doing them evenly,like in an x type pattern.Good luck,
