2007 Ford Fusion. Without pumping or removing fuel tank other ways to empty it?

Fill it with Good gas and fuel stabilizer to dilute the bad gas.

Or disconnect the pipe from the fuel tank and use the pump to pump the gas out. Make sure you stop as soon as flow stops because the fuel in the tank lubricates and cools the pump.

Or you can syphon it out with a length of 1/2" plastic tube.

I had a similar problem that turned out to be dirt contaminated gasoline. The "fix" was always to replace the fuel filter but it would not stay fixed. In particular, each time I started having problems it was after I let the gas tank level get low.

What I did that you can consider was:
  1. But a new fuel filter.
  2. Get a 5 gallon gas can.filled with fresh gas.
  3. Get some cheap gasoline proof container (or several containers) for waste gasoline.
  4. Make a "vacuum cleaner" out of an electric in-line low pressure gas pump, some low pressure gas hose, and a couple of pieces of copper tube, 20 ft of two conductor wire, and two alligator clips. It connects hydraulically copper tube to suck out the gas tank, fuel hose, pump, fuel hose, copper tube to go into the gas can. The wire and clips are to hook the fuel pump to your car battery.
  5. Drive the car until the fuel level is low.
  6. Remove the fuel pump module.
  7. Vacuum the gas tank into the waste gas container through the opening left by the fuel module. Try to get the dirt off the bottom.
  8. When you have vacuumed all you can get, stop awhile and let the dirt settle in the waste container.
  9. Vacuum the gasoline from the waste container back into the gas tank. Vacuum high in the container so the dirt stays in the waste. Try to wash any dirt in the gas tank to below the fuel module opening.
  10. Stop a while and let the dirt settle.
  11. Repeat vacuuming and washing as many times as needed to get the tank clean and empty.
  12. Inspect the tank interior with a mirror and flashlight looking for rust, dirt, etc.
  13. Replace the fuel module.
  14. Install the new fuel filter.
  15. Pour in the new gasoline.
And hopefully you are good to go.

Can you tell me where the emergency shut off switch is on the 05 ford fusion 1.4 petrol please? had a small tip last night and the engine wont fire.

Its in your owner manual, or go to motorcraft.com, pro center, tech info, owner manual and look it up.

FUEL PUMP SHUT-OFF SWITCH

This device stops the electric fuel pump from sending fuel to the engine

when your vehicle has had a substantial jolt.

After an accident, if the engine cranks but does not start, this switch

may have been activated.

The fuel pump shut-off switch is

located in the front passenger

footwell area in the right upper

corner.

To reset the switch:

1. Turn the ignition to 1 (LOCK).

2. Check the fuel system for leaks.

3. If no leaks are apparent, reset the

switch by pushing in on the reset

button.

4. Turn the ignition to 3 (RUN).

5. Wait a few seconds and return

the key to 1 (LOCK).

6. Make another check for leaks.

Have the fuel filter changed, then if this does not help, have the fuel pump pressure checked, and check for fuel contamination, fuel additives might help, heet, for moister, and lucas fuel treatment for contamination, and fuel cleaning, for the injectors. These are the best on the market.

I think the fuel filter is inside the tank, and when they get clogged it is time to replace the fule pump. thy not to drive the vehicle around so close to empty.

Ford Fusion 2006 gas guage will work and then not work. May go for 1 or 2 fill ups and stop working and may start working.

you probably have a loose connection from the sending unit or the unit it self inside the tank

Ford focus keeps stalling

I suspect it is a problem with the evaporative emission system. Basically, it collects vapors from the fuel tank and stores them in a charcoal canister in the engine compartment. It thens purges them into the engine when the engine is warm and running at road speed. You may be dumping too much vapor because your canister is filling with fule as well as vapor.

Do you try to "nurse" teh tank full at the fuel station? If yes, you may be flooding the canister.
Try just filling it 3/4 each time & see if problem goes away.
