My 2002 Toyota echo was working fine. I didn't run it for about two days and went to start it and it turned over, ran for a minute and then stopped. I tried again, and it turned over but would not start. Help!!
Could be anything from the fuel pump to the immobilisor ,you will need to start checking it over

I would guess that the sitting car developed a moisture problem around the coil that temporarily caused arcing ... that prevented starting for just a little while ..but each time the car is attempting to start the computer feeds extra fuel to over come condensing on the cool intake manafold walls .. thats normal .. but since it didnt start the first time then more fuel was added the second time you tried .. .now the engine is flooded (too much fuel) .. but each time you attempt to start, it just dumps more fuel making the situation worse .. one way to tell the computer that you dont want it to keep doing that is to hold the throttle all the way down .. that also allows in extra air to dry things out ... in old cars holding the throttle down forced the choke to open which accomplishes the same thing ..
