the humming sounds like a wheel bearing problem cavaliers are notorious for the bearings going out i have changed many of them, i would change both front wheel bearings at the same time and not just one it will save you in the long run. hope this helped

sounds like one of your pulleys. power steering pump, altanator, ac compressor, something along those lines.

I have had the left front wheel bearing replaced 2 times in lest than 30,000 miles why do they keep going bad they used 2 differnt brands ( 2002 cavalier

The most common cause of bearing failure is improper installation. 2nd is OVER lubrication. Or there may be some damage to the axle or hub assembly.

Hub pulling problems

The front wheel bearing on you Cavalier is replaced as a assembly that unbolts from the back. You should not need a puller, it should pull off after you have removed the bolts and the axle nut.
