Depending on how often this occurs it sounds like you have a ignition module or coil overheating problem.

  1. Check spark plugs, if they are worn replace them immediately. Excessive gap in spark plugs will cause other areas of the ignition system to overload with heat and start cutting out.
Try too get this done asap due to the difference in replacement cost of 4 x spark plugs $ 12 - $ 20 and the cost of a ignition module $ 200 - $ 300. Hope this helps, let me know how you get on.

Suburban stalls while driving after running for 15-30 minutes. After letting it sit for 5-10 min it runs fine for another 5-10 minutes, then starts doing it all over again.

a bad crank sensor can cause this. shuts off while going down road, and will start about 10 min, later with no problems runs fine until it quits again. hope this helps,

Car died while driving

Replace the distributor experience tells me it's bad. When it gets hot, the circuit board has a crack that opens up, thus no spark....when it cools off (usually about 10 to 20 mins.) it closes back up and your on your way again. It stuttered and chugged.......because it was flooded after you trying to get it to started for so long, with no spark. Good luck.
