I'm almost positive it is in the gas tank. The manual says it requires no maintenance. The fuel filter is part of the fuel pump/sending unit assembly inside the fuel tank.

Is the fuel filter for a 1997 Jeep Laredo located inside the tank and if so is there any other way besides pulling off the entire gas tank to access the filter so i can change it

Pretty sure it's not in the tank. It's located along the frame somewhere.

Fuel filter location

there is no external fuel filter on your jeep, in 1997 they changed the design and put a filter sock over the fuel pump intake in the fuel tank. they only get changed when you end up replacing the fuel pump

just lower the tank with a jack centered under it....my grand cherokee is body style before yours and fuel filter not in tank, its right near rear driver tire...sure filter is inside?

The Fuel Filter Is Located Inside The Fuel Tank Which Makes For A Little Harder job of Installing Than A Normal External Fuel Filter. This Filter Is Recommended To Be Replaced After 60,000 Miles Or So Or If Your Gasoline Has Been Contaminated For Any Reason.

Where is the fuel filter of the grand cherokee 1998

1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4WD 5.2L MFI 8cyl the Fuel Filter is part of the fuel pressure regulator assembly which is located on the fuel pump module.The fuel pump module is located on top of the fuel tank.

I have a 1990 jeek cherokee 4.0l automatic, while driving it's always shifting down and then back up and at times it almost feels like the transmission is slipping does any one know what could cause this...

check the tps(throttle position sensor)located on the right front of the throttle body.if its out of adjustment or going bad it will mimic a trans problem.

Where is the fuel filter located on a 1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited?

Location of the fuel filter on 1993 Jeep Grand Cherokee. It is in the fuel tank and is part of the fuel pump assembly/Module system. It's exactly in front of the fuel tank on the Driver's side. The fuel filter lines have tabs on them pinch the tabs and pull the line off. Good luck!
