Where do you live? Would you consider selling the driver's side door and front fender? My son's car needs some replacement parts as well. He has 2000 Solara V6 SE. Also, what color is your car.? Might consider buying other parts as well.

I hit something very hard with my right front rim. the tire now rubs the wheel well. What have I bent =, dammaged ect.?

Depends on what you mean by rubbing on wheel well?

if the wheel is bent inwards, so when the steering is set straight ahead, the damaged wheel is angled inwards or outwards then the tracking arm is bent!

if the wheel well has dropped on the damaged side then it probably is the suspension!

I have a 2000 volkswagen beetle that was wrecked and it has a bent frame on the front passanger side what would it cost me to have the frame straighten and it fixed or is it even worth fixing?

if the frame is bent, then there is more stuff bent, it's better to have a body shop check it out, there is always more damage then you can see, , something that old, just might be a total

Lower part of wheel is bending under car

The sway bar gives from side to side so I doubt your problem is in that. Of course it is really hard for me to pinpoint your problem without inspecting the vehicle, how hard did the vehicle hit the curb? If it hit it pretty hard and severely bent the lower control arm, I would suspect that you have some frame damage.

You need to really inspect the frame where the lower control arm mounts, it may help to look at the other side and compare it to the damaged side. You'll be looking for slight wrinkles or bends in places near where the control arm mounts or follow back and keep looking for any signs of slight signs of damage.

And, are we talking about the front, rear or both on the vehicle?
If it's the rear, the rear is weaker than the front. Follow the frame rail all the way towards the middle and look for signs of damage.

If you look closely, you should be able to find the damaged area.
It being a '94 it doesn't take much damage for your insurance to total the vehicle out, (if you happen to have full coverage insurance and file it.)
I hope this may help.

I have a bent rear passenger side tire due to an accident, how do I fix it?

sounds like a hard hit ur problems can be an accumulation of one or more of the following bent rim --,bent and or broken hub,-- spindle bent or broken, shock, strut bent,broken--unibody [frame]bent ---u will have to remove wheel and look at the parts and see which is damaged also open trunk and look at the floor for bends and wrinkles also look at rear from back and look at the body for straightness unless u have a straightener for the unibody to fix body and or frame should be done by shop that is trained in repairs r the parts which ever part or parts need to be replaced they are all bolt in only worry would be replacing the strut if ur chevy came with that option most had a shock

Question my friend has a 2000 Mercury Sable they were driving over 55 mph hit a pothole on the passenger side causing a scraping sounds on the passenger front side to the back the engine started to run...

First thing is to get a Complaint Form from your State government to recover cost of repair. Return to this area and if possible take a photo of this pothole. You may be able to get answers from your Road Commission or Help desk using your phone book. Most States have a dot com for downloading Forms. Use mile marker numbers or Street names to identify the area.

Check both your Transmission fluid and your motor oil levels. You need to do a visual inspection under the car. You probably broke a CV shaft which connects the drive wheel. But a broken shaft would have no effect on how the engine idles. You may need a Front-end Alignment and check for parts damaged such as tierod ends, rack and pinion steering, wheels and tires.

You could have damaged the Catalytic converter and the O2 sensors that are mounted on the pipes and converter. Physical damage such as a bent oil or transmission pan are also possible. Some of these parts should make the "check engine" light come on. The knocking sound can be the Crankshaft or Rods hitting a bent oil pan or you lost all the oil.

Sables and the Taurus both used 1/2 Frames with the front part being called the "Cradle" There are several bushing mounts to hold the frame to the body. They should be checked.

I hope my Solution gives an idea of what to check. It should also help with what to believe when a Repair shop works on your car. It does not have to be as bad as I describe, and I hope it isn't, but you should know what is possible.

Had my lumina get pulled out of the snow now the rear pass tire wont go around

I believe if you look under the vehicle you will find they bent one of the bars to the tire from frame causing tire to push in and hit fenderwell. there are four braces running from center of vehicle out ot each rear tire two on each side the front one will be bent if so will need to replace

I hit a curb with my front passenger wheel. Since

You probably bent the rim slightly or knocked off a wheel weight, just get your front wheel re-balanced.

Alignment causes a pull not a vibration, and it takes a hard hit to bend a frame.

I bet you this is not more then a 50 dollar fix.

Guidance on post collision repairs

if the wheel got pushed in and if the body is pretty damaged up than usually the unibody frame is going to be bent so more than likely they will total it
