I recently purchased a 2001 Ford Taurus, and had thought that I could use the Owner's Manual from a 1999 Mercury Sable from a friend. BUT, I figured out that each model year can be very different (before any serious damage happened.) Good luck.

box.If you don't have it,I'd suggest picking up a Chilton's Manual,at any
