I have a 2000 Dodge Intrepid 2.7L. The A/C won't operate properly at all. The blower motor speed control does it's job fine, but the Temp select and the Vent select knobs don't work correctly. When I turn the temp, NOTHING happens. When I turn the Vent, it change the Temp. I have replace the control box and the Mode Door Actuator. I am seeking help before I try to replace the ever-so-hard to get to Blend Door Actuator, which I was told may be it...but that's just the thing...it MAY be the problem. This cars A/C only comes out the defrost and the rear window defrost won't work. Someone, ANYONE, please help.

The bleed door controls air temp not where it comes out, dash, floor, defroster, this is most likely a mode control switch problem, that switch is on the ac control head.

Same problem for me. Local garage seems to think replacing the control module in the dash will solve the problem. I also have clicking sounds behind where the relay junction box is (under dash). My problem is intermitant so I'm also thinking that replacing a relay or two might also help.

There is a vacuum leak under the hood. Find the vacuum line on the passenger side where it comes through the firewall and follow it to the engine. You system needs vacuum to operate and without it the default setting is on defrost for safety reasons.
