Yes, it could be the distributor cap or the ignition rotor. Best to replace both. It could also be dirty or defective fuel injectors.

The ignition module sounds right. The reason the dealer wants to charge $400 is for the labor involved plus the part.

Exchange cylinder 4 and 5 parts with 2 other cylinders and see if the problem goes to the other cylinders.Start with this first.

Not sure How Much it will cost- Usually I just work on GM Products. If youhave the V6 it will be located on the Front of the Motor at the End of the Drive line Coming out from the Sterring wheel. Should have a Small Cap on top where you can check the Fluid. On the 4 Cylindar I am not Totally sure.

Hello, it's just in front of the oil pan put up high you might need an extension on the ratchet to get to it. It is oriented vertically and contained within a metallic screw shell.
