there must be a dip stick with the full level indicated and you need to check if it should be warmed up and in park with the engine running for an accurate reading
The drain plug on the bottom of the gear box has two parts the the outer hex if removed will drain the box, and the centre hex when removed is for filling the transmition via a tube inserted into it, and fluid pumped in until it runs out, you must check the level with the gear in park and the engine running.
if you do a google search you can find a diagram showing how it works, I'm sorry I don't have a diagram to show you

but did you buy it new? if yes you need to go to a peugeot dealer to have programmed, if not and broken you have to replace it if you want to be sure disconect the cable from power steering motor and you will find all full of oil

have you checked the power steering fluid level? what is might be is the system telling you that it is low on fluid and not able to provide the proper assist pressures
if it says the diesel filter, then that is what it means,a fuel filter.normal service requirement on any vehicle and can be done for small dollars at any garage
start the car let it run til its ideal temp..take the dipstick out from the transmission fluid, and see where it is. the dipstick will tell you the ideal level of fluid that should be in the car...also if the fluid is black..change it..it should be a reddish color
Yep.They are trying to rip you off.Its not due untill after 20,000 miles.At the same time the auto trans filter should be done.Stick it up them.Hope this helps
usually you should do it for peugeot diesel at 122000 miles along with water pump and the tensioner roller that runs under the cambelt too. But to be on the safe side do it at 100000 and save the fortune.

peugeot and citreon cars do bite high generaly, it is hydaulic there is no adjustment. but it also depends on how high it is ?? does it slip if you slightly rest your foot on whilst driving?? they do have a problem with the bearings going through the cover as it is the same bearing as a HDI . but you woud notice this as a different problem. ie noise or vibration on pedal. call me for more info .. paul @ the clutch centre..01527 64440 07790438337
