I changed head and cam om a 1989 honda civic lx.now it runs rough. whats the problem?

check for missing vacuum hoses. run fault codes to check for wires not properly connected . Have a compression test done as broken timing belts generally bend valves . IT may not be noticeable but will be enough to affect the engine performance.

I changed the head on a 1989 honda civic lx. now it will start up but runs real rough. what do i do now?

Did you triple check that your timing was correct and that none of the pistons where damaged since that is an interference engine, meaning that f the timing belt breaks or in your case the cam broke (other half stopped moving), the piston may have ran into the valve causing damage to the valve and possibly the piston.

My distributor is out 96 Honda Civic LX. How hard

Why do you think the Distributor is out? It's not hard to replace if you have the Haynes repair manual for your vehicle and understand how to get to TDC and line up everything. But it is very rare that a Distributor goes out. If it is not turning it is more likely that your timing Belt has broken than the distributor going bad.

How to change water pump on a honda civic year 1999 lx

These water pumps are integral with the timing belt you must replace the timing belt with the water pump because the leaking water pump and antifreeze on the timing belt causes deterioration of rubber belt thereby causing imminent failure of timing belt destroying valves $$$ google" interference engine" for an explanation of interference engine

Car broke down while driving. Stepped on gas with no effect.

Sounds like your timing belt broke. Do you know if it's ever been replaced? Usually they have a life expectancy of around 100,000 to 105,000 miles before they go. All your symptoms point towards it.

2003 Honda Civic -LX Timing belt

90000 Miles on the Timing Belt. Do not let this go! A timing belt failure can cause internal engine problems.

Should cost around 200 or so, depending upon your local labor rates.

Good Luck!
