Have you removed the "trim panel" that surrounds the stereo? If not, do so 1st, then there "should" be 4 screws that hold the stereo in place, remove those 4 screws then pull the stereo forward (towards you), next disconnect the "bulk wire harness" connected @ the rear of the stereo along w/ the "antenna" cable and you should be home free from there. let me know if this helps.

Cd's stuck in 6-stacker

If the CD magazine does no release then it is needed to remove the player and open the mechanism to remove the struck up cd or mechanism.
Now is is possible that some CD can warp over a period of time or it can also get caught up in the transfer mechanism. Also if the loading mechanism had encountered a fault it can jam the system, so after removing the cover you can assist the cd to eject out with manual leverage of the motor and mechanical linkages. If not there is fault in the drive of the loading motor.

Y car is a 2000, vw beetle it says cd but I dont see a cd player ? is there a hidden cd player or is that there if you put one in?

There could be a 6 cd stacker in the boot(trunk) if not it was either removed by a previous owner or it never had it installed, the button selects the stacker if it has one!

How do I remove the 6 stacker CD player from the Dash board of my 2005 Hyundi Sonata. There are 6 discs stuck in it and it won't play. The radio works so it is not an electical problem to the unit

If it has a 6 cd cartridge, try this.Press and HOLD eject button, insert credit card under cartridge move left to right to locate micro switch which will release cartridge so then you can see if one of the discs has jammed.good luck.

Ford AU11 Fairmont CD Player / Radio

You need some special tools which slot in to the holes at the sides of the stereo, they release some clips and the unit slides out. Then you can take the cover off the unit and remove the jammed CD. These units are notorious for failure, especially the six disc stackers, and are probably not worth repairing, can be more expensive to repair than fitting a decent aftermarket cd player. Most audio installers or your local Ford dealer will have the tools to remove the unit, and if you just want the radio, you could remove the jammed cd and refit the stereo and just not use the cd player. You'll need to get the radio code from a Ford dealer to get the stereo going again if you disconnect and reconnect it. They may need the serial number off the unit to give that to you, and you may need to prove ownership of the vehicle.
