Well the cam kit is needed because from the factory just put bolts in the upper a frames without any adjustments so you have to buy the cam kit so you can change your caster and camber for better tire wear and better drivability the average cost varies I'm sure for where your at but where I'm at it would cost about $45-$50 a side for the kits plus labor to install the kits its kinda spendy the first time around but after that all you have to do when you need an alignment is take it in and get it adjusted.

Aligning wheels nissan maxima 2001

They are fixed and require a kit to be installed to make them adjustable. Then you need a front end alignment machine to adjust all of it correctly

04 kia sedona front end cannot be lined up everyone has tried what is the issue with sedona front end . many people have complained about this same thing bruce

I used to align these. You need to replace the struts bolts with a camber kit. What this is, is a replacement bolt with an offset cam which will allow the strut to be pushed in or out depending on which way you need to go. Caster need not be adjusted. Toe will need to be. You purchase one kit and it should come with the bolt for both sides. Have them replace the top bolt and adjust accordingly. Let me know if you need anything like specs or anything.

Front tires seemed to be bent in a little causing uneven and fast ware on tires

Take it to your mechanic and ask them to check your tie rods and then an alignment.

Front end alignment

The independant shop is correct, as well as the dealer. There are aftermarket parts available (and required, in my opinion) that allow for adjustment. Do that and be happy.

The dealer has only FORD stuff and they are clueless about this issue. They think replace parts and everything is okay and it is NOT.

Get the aftermarket parts, which have adjustable, ecentric attributes that allow for adjustment.

The front end needs to be aligned perfectly, or burn tires.

Front wheel alignment

you need to let an alignment shop handle it. The vehicle has to be perfectly level front to rear and side to side, if this is not correct the alignment will not be accurate.

My 1989 f-250 has the twin I beam and leafs up front and the suspension sags causing the front tires to kick out like a stadium truck. Is there a kit to fix this???

you can have it aligned and they will use a off set cam at upper ball joint to realign front end if it is not real bad, but the right way to fix it would be to replace the springs and then have it aligned. hope this helps.

How to replace uppe ball joint in Ford Crown

First make an appointment for a front end alignment which will be required after replacing the ball joint. Securely support the vehicle under the lower control arm at the outer end, the end nearest the tire. The upper ball joint is attached to the upper control arm with 2 large nuts. Under the nuts are cams with hex heads for adjusting caster and camber. Mark the position of these cams in a way that will allow you to reinstall them somewhere near the same position. Next remove the outer end of the joint from the steering knuckle an then remove the 2 nuts and both cams from the control arm end. Reinstall and get that alignment asap !

Timming belt replacement Ford 2001 dual cam

You have to leave all of the slack at the tensioner. Get the timing marks lined up on both of the cams and the crank. With the slack left at the tensioner, release the tensioner. It is okay if the marks move a little after this. Manually turn the engine crankshaft twice and then MAKE SURE THE MARKS LINE UP! If they do after two revolutions of the engine, you are good to go. This applies wether or not you are at DTC or not! Remember that!
