Seat heater stuck on, Acura TL

Is it safe for me to drive my 2004 Acura TL to the shop with the driver's seat heater stuck on? I didn't turn it on, but it is coming on every time I start the car and I can't turn it off. In addition to it being uncomfortable for it to be so warm, am worried about if it could catch on fire. Should I tow it instead of drive it? It's about a 10 mile trip.

Check your fusebox for the fuse and remove the fuse, this will turn off the seat heater.
There are two fuse boxes, one under the dash and one in the engine bay.
Your seat heater is designed to run continuously so is most likely safe th drive the 10 miles to your dealer.

Srs light came on acura 2001 tl

Yes a scan must be done and it will not cost much.

Though you can drive around with the seat belt but it is not too safe.

See the dealer please.

there should be a belt diagram from a label either on underside of hood or on radiator support. That should help if you can do it yourself.

Drivers seat heater, sideview mirror switch

The wires in the seat heater will burn out if they are left on HI for too long. You can take the seat out of the car, remove the seat covering, and solder some new wires in place of the fried ones. Then put it all back together and hope you don't get a shock in your **** when you flip the switch for the first time. I just did this to my 2000 TL today and it took about 3 hrs to get it all worked out. For step by step instructions go to: http://joshsworld.com/cars/acura-tl-seat-heater-fix/

2000 3.2 TL Heated Seat Replacement

I would get online and check some of the Acura discussion boards as there particular things related to different manufacturers/models/years that can happen if you just disconnect the wiring harnesses and pull the seats. If you want to be safe, disconnect the battery before you disconnect any wiring harnesses going to the seats as the car may take a break in the connection as a problem with the airbag seat sensor and throw a check light error if you don't ( BMWs do this...ask me how I know ! )
