Im not getting any power to the brake light switch? i have checked all fuses and fuse boxes they checked good. Any suggestions its still stuck in park and no brake lights. One thing that i do to release park gear is turn key one click snd move shifter just barely that it stays in park and REVERSE then i proceed to put it into drive. But if i park back to step one.
Check fuse #41, if its good then the brake switch may need replacing. You can test the power to the switch by the use of a voltage meter touching the LG/RD (light green/red) wire with the red side of the meter and the other probe to ground. If more than 10 volts its good. You can check the BPP (brake pedal position switch) by installing a fused jumper wire from LG/RD to the RD/LG wires. Connect a 10A fused jumper wire between C242, Circuit 10 (LG/RD), harness side and C242, Circuit 810 (RD/LG), harness side. And check the brake lights, if they go on then the switch is defective. Hope this helps you.
