Some of the Malibu's are equiped with electronic power steering for the 2005 model year. I addition there have been numerous problems with the new electronic power steering columns. I suspect your column is the source of your concern.
Good luck

Where is the power steering reservoir on a 2009 chevy malibu

I don't believe you have one. You have the electronically controlled steering. Look under the dash at the steering column. You will see an electric motor that is the power steering. And of course, it costs way more to fix.

Are you sure your vehicle has hydraulic power steering? Many malibus have electronic power steering. There is no fluid for these steering systems.

I need to add power steering fluid on my 2006 chevy malibu V6 3.5 liter engine were is it located

You will want to verify you have hydraulic power steering. Electronic power steering was an option on Malibu's and this may be why you cannot find the reservoir. The power steering pump would be driven by the belt in the event you have a hydraulic system. Thus making it easy to locate.
