After only 2 kms on the road in the morning, i heard a knick-knack sound (similar to the sound of a truck or a diesel engine). Drove for another 2 kms and turned off the engine. Started the car after 45 mins. Sound was still there and drove for about 1 km and the sound became louder and then the engine shut down. I started the car and moved for about 3-5 meters and the engine shut down. I started the car again and the engine shut down immediately after. I tried starting it again but it wouldn't start anymore.
Mechanic checked my car with the following results:
- compression on the 3 front spark plugs are good; compression on the 3 back spark plugs are low
- fuel pump is ok
- timing belt is ok
- battery ok
Knock sensor is working at least right but unfortuanantly thats all that is working
it is likely a knock isue check the motor oil it is not un usual for a nisan to knock when the oil is low but on rare ocation it will kick so hard the knock sensor will activate

The oil was newly changed a week ago and is still full. The engine will crank but will not fire up. Will the knock sensor affect cranking too? What do i do next after checking the knock sensor if the car still will not fire up?
thanks. spark plugs are all okay. i will disconnect the battery and try again. just wondering why the compression in the 3 back valves are low?

codes, warning lights and spark plugs are all okay. Engine still cranks but does not fire up. what should i do next and why are the compression pressure in the 3 back valves still low?
