Why do you want your rpms higher while idling? you don't want them high because your gas bill will reflect that. slow shouldn't matter but if it's dying while on idle it could either be your mass air flow sensor or your fuel filter being clogged

It should be about 550 rpms in gear at operating temp. is you oil light coming on? if the idle speed is at the correct rpm and the light comes on, you either need a new oil switch or you have low oil pressure

2004 chrysler sebring 3.0 engine, why does my car shut off when i turn my AC on?

the control that increases the idle when under load isnt working, but iam not familar with this make of vehicle to advise you any further ,its controled by the ECU which is sensing the idle speed from the crank sensor which then speeds up the engine via the stepper motor .i know how it works but couldnt tell you where it is on this vehicle

Oil lamp lights at 750rpms

750 rpm?

your revs are too low.

The engine speed drives the oil pump via the timing belt.

too low revs = poor pump speed = low pressure.

I'll bet when you rev the idle speed faster, the warning goes off?

When I slow down to a complete stop, my 1999 chrysler sebring cuts off. Can you help me?

Possibly a transmission issue. The transmission has a "lockup" mode, where a clutch connects the engine directly to the transmission at cruising speeds. It is then supposed to unlock at lower speeds and for stopping. If it doesn't unlock, the car will stall at a stop. Try putting it into neutral (carefullly, so you don't go into reverse) as you slow down, if it doesn't stall out, it is most likely the transmission lockup mechanism.

If it stalls in neutral it is an engine issue. Bad idle control, bad ignition (it's easier to fire at high speed), bad fuel injector, bad air flow/pressure sensor... and more possibilities.

My idle is way to high on my 2004 chrysler sebring convertible 2.7 v6. i cleaned the throttle body but it still idles at 2 rpms. does this car have i.a.c. motor?? or does it have just an i.a.c. valve? i...

did u test for intake manifold leaks? did you disconnect the battery after the cleaning to reset idle speed control system? if u can find no leaks and system was reset then IAC may be sticking.
