White smoke

Sounds like blown head gasket or cracked head and leaking cam cover gasket around spark plug seals

95 Dodge Neon

common problem for dodge 4 cylinders...
never lower the oil level unless its real high on the dipstick..
you have the replace the spark plug guide seal.... it seals it from oil in the valve cover going into the spark plug guide and killing the spark... yes oil goes past the threads on the plug....

just did the valve cover on my 94 jaguar... has the same setup valve cover design

My jaguar wont start. I changed crank sensor, fuel pump, fuel filter, spark plug, ignition coil, disributor cap. Am I missing something? What other problems should I check for?

I have had the distributor rotor fail, leaving me stranded - twice. Not sure what can go wrong with them but replacing it was what it took to get it running again.

Where is the spark plug and wires located on a 95 Jaguar XJ6 model veh.? I just brought plugs & wires, and I can't seem to find where they go to. Ignition cap is not noticeable...can you help.

Thats funny. How does anyone sell you plug wires for a car that does not use wires? You need to keep out of the cheap auto parts stores. There are coils for each cylinder. The coils are under a cover at the valve covers. Be sure to use the correct spark plug. Denso 5304 or NGK 6962

Jaguar xj6 1995 starting & go for 15 mins

Does check engine light or wrench light come on? If yes, get free computer scan from Autozone or other parts store that offers free scan. Sounds like a sensor is failing

95 Jaguar XJ6 will not start and No codes present?

During cranking @crk sensor u should see up to 1 ac volt. Also if cam position sensor is @ fault u may not get a code, internal fault. Cam sensors are not availible, but rebuild kit is availible. The engine has to be set to top dead center aligning mark on crank pulley & tab aswell as mark on cam sensor itself.

Not starting

Make sure your getting spark to the plugs. It must be a good hot spark.
If that's okay then you might have a timing problem with the crank and cam. (Jumped time).
You'll need to check the timing marks on the crank and cam timing gears to make sure they didn't jump out of time.
Check for any vacuum leaks as well.

Problem with 95 jag XJ6

Had this problem before and found it to be the crankshaft sensor. This would be cheaper fix than the Lambda sensors.
