I have a 2005 Dodge Caravan..it won't turn over...the alarm seems like it kicked in and everything is shut down...I have no Park or Neutral..so I can't start the van..what can this be and can I fix it myself or does it need to go to a garage.

no on inertia switch only fuses relays module try moving shifter to neutral and try starting --shifter --cable -or trans may be damaged

Insert the ignition key into the driver side door lock.
Turn the key counterclockwise to unlock the door.
Turn the key clockwise to initiate the alarm activation sequence. Turn the key counterclockwise. The alarm will stop and reset itself.

Park neutral safety switch may be bad, disconnected or have a wiring issue .

2005 Dodge Caravan will not shift out of neutral.

In order to shift out of neutral or park you have to have the brake depressed and it may have a bad brake light switch .

Caravan won't start after shifter cable replaced

Make sure the transmission range selector switch is adjusted correctly it is the switch just below the shift cable post. Also try to start it in Neutral rather than park position.

2005 dodge caravan..... headlights do not come on when turned on by switch.... park lights an all other lights seem ok. brights come on when you pull the bright switch back but upon release they go out.

try replacing bulbs sounds like the dim elements in bulb are bad

Deactivate the alsrm with remote or lock then unlock door with the key try another door if drivers door wont disarm it. that is for factory alrm
after market alarm needs remote or some button somewere under dash
best way to fix an after market alarm is to remove it
