Try tequila and get a bigger bottle. You want to try keeping it somewhere else, I find that all my friends now know all my hiding places in the garage so I keep it in the garden shed. Really, you're doing well though, I would going through a small bottle almost every day!

Hi Matthew, sorry about the cheeky response. It must have been a long day and all I could think of, was having a cool one at the end of it. How about we try and start again? Could you tell me what kind of fluid you are losing? To be specific, which part of the car do you have to poor it into, the brake master cylinder, power steering reservoir, transmission, radiator, etc....? . I'm certain I can lead you in the right direction with this information.

The last one of these problems i worked on was 2 quarts of fluid low. The owner, working on his car did not take the amount of fluid the converter would take in his calculations. We added the fluid and brought the level up on the stick and it fixed it. just 2 weeks ago !

The power steering fluid in my 1988 subaru DL is leaking out-somewhere. I have to fill it with a whole bottle once a week. Can anyone tell me--are there gaskets or rubber seals that fit inside the pump?...

There are "O" rings "everywhere" in hydralic, (sterring & Transmission) systems. Before spending hundreds, spend about $30.00 on some investigative/diagnostic tooling. You can buy an economical "UVL" (ultra violet light) battery operated from between $19.99 - $26.99 at most stores. invest in a small vial of "universal UV" fluid that mixes with oils & freons. Add an ounce, when you add your fluid. When the fluid is low, go out at night, open the hood (or turn your garage lights off) & check all connections with the Ultra Violet "teat" lamp.......It ( the problem) will stick out like a sore thumb. Benefit, You will have the tools for future use.

I just bought a nisson altima 2005 the owner advised me I need the brake fluid flushed before winter... Is this normal

Brake fluid absorbs moisture, and this can rust the insides of the brake system. The moisture was not that big of deal 10 years ago, but on ABS brake systems of today, the rust and other debris that accumulates in the fluid can do lots of internal damage, and can be very costly. Brake fluid can also break down over time from excess heat that is created from within the brake system.
Is recommend flushing the brake fluid system about every 30,000 miles, or at 30K, 60K and 90k tune up. It cost about $90, but you can do it by yourself. To do this flush, open the brake lines located at each wheel and allow the brake fluid from the brake master cylinder to "bleed by gravity", as continue to feed new fluid to the master cylinder until the fluid runs clear at all wheels. The discharge has to be collected in 16OZ plastic bottle via a clear vinyl hose from the bleeding nipple to the bottle. It is a good idea to replace all 4 nipples with new one. They are cheap and avoid problems in long run. Make sure to use at least DOT 4 brake fluid. Make sure to use a sealed bottle. The life of brake fluid in an open bottle is one week.

ENGINE REBUILD WARRANTY???

Sorry, most warranties only cover original repair and no warranty repairs after that. In other words warranty doesn't get a new start date. This is not what you want to hear but as I am in the industry that is the usual wayit operates... Unless you can talk them into extending another year or two....

Transmission issues after transmission flush

Well first off, coolant in the transmission will cause transmission failure if left in long enough. Proving why the radiator failed will be another story.

Sounds like air has gotten into the hydraulic clutch system, or it is low on fluid from a failed master or slave hydraulic clutch cylinder or connecting line between the master and slave cylinders.
