What do you mean by control? there is one wire normally pink or white with pink strip that is power 5 volts + black is ground and a reference voltage 5 volts ground is black or white so the other two colors would be the control wires going to the computer. However would need the first 8 numbers of the Vin to know for sure. you can also go to www.alldatadiy.com and purchase a subscription that will give you the exact information you need, they change color codes for wires from time to time and if you hook it up wrong you can destroy the computer so I suggest you purchase the subscription to be sure.

This condition may be caused by a false reading during off-road driving or in high slush conditions.

Correction
Do This - Reprogram the HVAC control module.
Don't Do This - Do not replace the coolant level sensor, HVAC control module or radiator surge tank.

A revised calibration has been developed to address this condition. 2007 GMC 2500HD. TRYING TO FIND WHERE THE IAT SENSOR IS LOCATED. Is this on the lower left side of your truck under the hood. Does this have a 5 wire plug into the MAF?

Hello mahnkes.

You did not mention what engine you have.
I have based this reply on a 6.0 liter gasoline engine.

The IAT (intake air temperature) is integral with the MAF that is mounted in the intake duct and if defective will need to be replaced as an assembly.
#2 in the diagram below.

I hope this helps you along.
Let me know if your engine isn't the 6.0

2007 GMC Yukon IAT sensor

Are you aware you can't really test this without the correct impedance meter You can ohm the sensor. But you will need to see how it responds while the car is warming up and you will need an laser to test for temp. I'm just letting you know that these newer computer in cars can be damaged easily with the wrong meter.
Good Luck

IAT sensor wires

Those chips are not chips just a 5 cent resistor to alter the IAT (Intake Air Temperature) signal to the PCM (Powertrain Control Module), the idea is that the engine control computer thinks it is getting colder air than it really is and slightly increases spark advance, u will feel no difference in power but u may gain 1 MPG in fuel economy, so u decide. One last note they are illegal in most states that do emission tests, it alters the factory controls.

2007 gmc sierra 2500 IAT sensor

Well, the IAT (Intake Air Temperature) sensor is located on the air intake duct between the filter and the throttle body (Assuming you have the 6L motor). The wires are easily visible at the plug that connects the sensor to the wiring harness. That's the easiest place to access them.
