Any of your Chilton Manuals should have a diagram that will show you how the timing belt goes on; however the timing mark on the left top sprocket is around the 12 o clock area with the alternator bracket having the mark at the bottom to line with the sprocket. The second spocket on the right top ( again at 12 o clock) uses the timing cover, inner side, to align the right sprocket with. The botom sprocket uses the oil pump which has the timing mark that aligns at 1 o clock with the mark on the bottom sprocket. Important note: when repacing the belt keep in mind that the water pump must be replaced at that time. It often can be the reason for the belt breaking.
