The o2 sensor is in the rear exhaust manifold. You should be able to see it from under the hood.It takes a 7/8 special socket. You can find you at any parts store. You might want to soak it with penetrant.P.B.blaster works real good.Try not to cross thread it.There is only one o2 sensor on your vehicle.Hope this helps.Good luck.

I just use a 7/8 wrench go to back side of engine unplugg the o2 and remove from the top there may also be one after the cat not sure about that year also clean the threads of the hole before you install new part and use the thread lube it should come with the new sensor if you cant get the wrench over the plug end of the sensor just cut the wires on the sensor side then remove.

SOURCE: how many o2 sensors does a Buick LeSabre have?

Assuming it is the 3.8 liter V6 there should be 2. I just replaced mine this weekend. One is on the exhaust manifold visible through the engine compartment. Hard to reach. You have to pretty much get into the engine compartment to reach it. The second is just behind the catalytic converter. Relatively easy to replace except getting to the plug. My metal shield that covers the plug was riveted and I had to drill out the rivets and replace with sheet metal screws. No other way to get to the plug.

Hope that helps.

I put liquid wrench on mine before trying to loosen them and they loosened quite easily. I think it was a 22 mm wrench for both. Tightening the front sensor required slip joint pliers at times to allow the wrench to slide onto the "bolt"

Trouble codes 93 buick lesabre

The first thing you have not checked is fuel pressure.
The pressure could be low, or the fuel filter could be clogged.
It takes more fuel to run the engine in the first 5 minutes until it warms up than under normal conditions.
The codes mean the sensors are not giving the computer the readings they should, but it does not always mean the sensors are faulty.
If the engine is running rough, or the fuel mixture is lean, the sensors will show that.
Code 44 is O2 sensor reading lean which may be true.
Code 33 is MAP sensor reading low vac which may also be true.
Another possible cause is the coolant temp sensor may not be telling the computer the right thing. If it tells the computer the coolant is 200 degrees and the engine is cold, you won't get enough fuel thru the injectors.

Depending on which engine your Windstar is equipped with, there are either three or four O2 sensors. They are all located in the exhaust system.

Well, we changed the oxygen sensor and my 1993 buick lesabre is still hesitating at times. The check engine light continues to come on...any clues now??? Could it be a fuel problem now....fuel filter or...

Sounds like this could be the mass air flow sensor.Have a local auto parts store diagnose the problem with their computer You could also have a bad throttle positioning sensor.

How to change oxygen sensors in 92 buick lesabre

The O2 sensors are located on the exhaust system piping. Either on the manifolds or on the pipes themselves. You will need the vehicle cool, then disconnect the electrical connectors. Do them one at a time. You will need either a special O2 sensor socket or a 17 - 22 mm wrench to remove them. Unscrew them from the pipe and rescrew the new one back in. Then reattach the connectors. Then you can start the car.
