I have a 2000 Daewoo Leganza and radio wont work

While you have the dashboard apart to try to repair the tape player, may I suggest just replacing the radio, I think it will be cheaper, and you will get a better sound system, that is more current, you can probably opt for an MP3 player with usb instead of cassette.

remove radio and obtain serial number from decal on the radio chassis. Email DaewooUSA with the radio number and VIN number of vehicle and they will supply code to unlock radio.

remove the plastic frame around the radio (gently, I used a wooden popsicle stick) and remove two screws holding the radio in. Ease the radio out a bit and you can get the radio serial number off the radio sticker. Email this number and your VIN number to DaewooUSA ( nice folks, very helpful) and they will send you the proper code. Its easier than it sounds, very simple task. Good luck

DAEWOO codes are only available from the Main Dealer or a Radio Decoding Service

go to radio-code.com and pay a small fee and they will send you a code to put in your radio, worked for both of my cars!!!

Pull the radio unit.. Write down serial number.. get proper code from dealer as radio may have been replaced.. Also get proceedure.. lemmie know

You must enter the code within 10 seconds of turning on the radio.

sounds like there was, w/ no manual call the dealer with your VIN# they will have that info, and they might even tell you how to reprogram it
