The main wire from the alternator to the battery is not making connection, just run another one to the positive side of the battery,to the large wire on the alternator, leave the other one on the alternator, just add this one,use as big of wire,or larger,a small cable will do nicely.

SOURCE: Charging problem.. Wont charge battery

The instructions for installing a new alternator usually read to fully charge the battery (12.3 - 12.8 volt range). Otherwise, the alternator will be damaged when it initializes. I have seen some extreme damage result from installing a new alternator with a low-charge battery. The torque required to turn an alternator when damaged in this scenario is unbelieveable!

SOURCE: NEW ALTERNATOR, NEW BATTERY, CAR still dies and wont start

Check the main power fuse that goes to the alternator output. if the alternator went out it could have burnt this fuse also.

SOURCE: battery wont hold charge

HI. you may have a battery drain issue that is sapping your battery overnight.

Here is the procedure I use to isolate a battery drain. Remove negative battery cable from the battery. Using a 12-volt test light, hook one end to the negative battery post the other end to the negative battery cable you just disconnected. The test light will glow or "light" if there is a drain. If the "light or glow" is faint, that is probably normal draw for the clock or computer. If the "light or glow" is bright, then there is a large drain. That should be corrected. Now start removing and replacing the fuses one by one until the light goes out; that one will be the circuit with the drain. Remember to hold in the button in the door jam for the interior lights.

My battery dies i replaced a brand new alternator but still dosen't charge tomthe battery

The battery most likely has dead cells and not charging due to the alternator .The alternator is doing what it should, your battery just can't hold the charge the alternator is putting out. Go have the battery tested at a local auto zone or advance auto store. Free to check

Alternator problem

1.You need to install a Fully charged battery, before you install a new alternator. Otherwise it will burn the alternator up.

2.I read what you typed about installing a new battery. Was the new battery fully charged, and was it installed before the new alternator?
No?
