Hi
As to your reply I have popped out the harmonic balancer but there are no visible marks on the crank. All I can think of is the key sitting in the keyway is 180 to the top of the casing in the bottom of the motor but that seems so inaccurate?
Is it possible to send me a copy of the timing belt diagram showing timing marks for a Galant 1994 Quad Cam (DOHC) 6 Cylinder? I have previously replaced the timing belt for a 929 Quad Cam (DOHC) 6 Cylinder but it was a rear wheel drive.
The Galant seems more involved and being a FWD makes it a little tricky as to the confined space. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Cheers
Email me at [email protected] and I have detailed instructions I can send you
Are you sure the outer pulley part of the "Harmonic Damper" has not come loose and moved causing the timing mark to be in the wrong place? I've seen this happen many times.
