I CAN NOT GET IN MY TRUNK WITH THE KEY NOR BY THE TRUNK RELEASE BUTTON THATS IN GLOVE BOX. I CHEACKED ALL THE FUSES AND NONE WERE OUT, SO WHAT CAN THIS BE? CAN SOMEONE TELL ME HOW TO HOT WIRE IT TO GET IT OPEN, OR ANY OTHER WAY WITH OUT POPPING THE LOCK?

buy one
or login to alldata.com,
there are only 2 ways to do fuses
RTM read the FSM . see that some fuses 1, runs 20 things,(park is like that)
or test every freakn fuse. (not just look, test them)
2 ways, I use a voltmeter and test them live
see 12v both sides, key on.
I suggest getting a helper. While you sit in the vehicle and press the button inside the passenger glove box, ask your friend to lift the trunk. If your friend can open the trunk easily, your torsion bar needs to be replaced. This acts a bit like a spring to push the trunk open when the lock releases it. Another issue could be the lock release has gummed up with dust in the lock grease. You vehicle is 21 years old and grease thickens up with dust and such over the years.
My avalon 2002 trunk was not opening. The problem was a little switch in the glove compartment was depressed I puched the switch back in and wala everything was just fine again. A lil black switch in the glove compartment. wish u the best.
Does the key you have open the driver door? Do you have a keyless entry key fob, does it work? you also might try removing the glove box and disconnecting the wires from the trunk button and touching them together with a paper clip or other small wire but before you do that look in your owners manual a determine which fuse is for the trunk release and check the fuse then the last would be to have GM dealer check to see if the key you have is the proper key fror your car and if it may be worn out
Some cars have an over ride switch in the glove box, which allows you to lockout a valet. You simply shut off the switch and lock the glove box and the valet cannot access the trunk without the master key to unlock the glove box. See if you have one that has been shut off by mistake.
cable knocked loose and key wouldn't work if it did previously. last option, obtain acess from back passenger seat and pull aux cable or force lock open, as far as the key issue, call a locksmith
