My 97 tahoes blinkers stop working when I use the brake. And all the lights in the rear flash (while using the blinkers) when i'm not applying the brake. I've replaced the blinker assembly. What else could it be?
Bad earth on the back light ,thats all easy to fix clean contacts
yes thats right it will do this ,its a bad earth on one of the back lights
right remove the back light and look at multiplug connection ,look for black corroded connections ,now one of the wires should lead off to a earthing point somewhere near the light ,but not always,if you cannot find it then look at the colours on the wires leading into the multiplug ,the earth is invariabley a black or a white one and the connection from the multiplug will run through all the bulb connections ,when you find this one splice and and run another wire to a nice earth pòint like a fixing bolt or drill a small hole and use a self tapping screw ,when it works smear the earthing point with some grease to prevent corrosion ,splice into the wire do not cut it because it might earth the number plate lights or something else .Have fun and the best of british with it
