Usually you need to take the door panel off to get access to the nuts that hold the mirror on. Once you get the panel off they are right there behind the mirror. You may not have to take the panel completely off, but it is usually easier to take off all the way. There are usually 3 nuts that hold it on. The wires harness will unplug, if you have heated mirrors or a blinker in the mirror.
