Pump on air suspension has probably failed. About a $400 fix at dealer.

Actually, take a squirt bottle of soapy water and spray both black airbags located between the rear axle and vehicle body. Watch for bubbles I've had to replace mine twice now.

What's the easiest way to lift a 1999 Oldsmobile Bravada a couple inches???

Why Bother?

The vehicle is 16 years old, sort of late
for that now

You can lift the body or raise the suspension

That suspension is not well suited to be lifted

Done properly, will cost a couple thousand, the
vehicle can't be worth more than that

There is nothing easy in the automotive repair
or modification world

Have you not checked the 4 wheel magazines or
web site forums or parts sites?

I would forget that & learn how to diagnose problems
& do preventative maintenance

When your 60 years old, you will be able to build something
from the ground up

I have a 2003 envoy where the rear end is riding realy low any ideas

I had the same problem with my '02 Envoy 4x4; had the soap test done and there were no leaks; also had the air compressor motor checked and mechanics said it was fine. The rear air bags were worn and cracked so I had them replaced. It lifted and rode at the correct ride height for a few weeks.
After having the rear air bags replaced I noticed that it was starting to not lift as before. Had another diagnostic check; the air compressor was not forcing air through the system in order to lift the vehicle. The air compressor motor was replaced. Compressor comes on and shuts off now.
Vehicle is at the normal ride height now.
Rear air bags and air compressor motor were dealership parts; unable to find after market; not recommended to replace with used parts.
I had the dealership to run the diagnostics and had another mechanic to replace the parts. Total repair for bags, motor + labor = $1500

I HAVE A 2002 BRAVADA AND MY COMPRESSOR MAKES A LOUD NOISE FINIALLY BLEW THE FUSE. I REPLACED THE FUSE AND SAME NOISE COMES ON AND CAR IS NOT LIFTING, GMC DLR TOLD ME NO I CANT REPLACE IT WITH SHOCKS OR...

A strut is a device that integrates shock and spring into one unit - there is no separate spring. Like certain shocks, some struts are load leveling which incorporates bladders into the shock part that are inflated by an air compressor.
You must use a strut to replace a strut; however, there are usually available regular struts that can be used to replace load leveling struts if that's what you want. To determine if there is a strut like that available for your vehicle, try visiting the Monroe website.

The compressor of my 2002 bravada is working but it is not lifting up the back as it should

Hi

You probably have an air leak in the lines. Check for loose connectors at the compressor and at sensor (just follow the line) and for bent or broken spots. If, OK, check compressor pressure, it can also be that compressor is not pumping enough air to lift vehicle.

Good Luck!!
