You have to check your oil pressure you may have a oil pressure problem ,also drain the oil to see if it's not clogging up the oil strainer in the base pan, check your oil filter as well
Possible that the oil pressure is low , the oil level is low or the oil pressure switch has failed. Check level of oil, check for pressure of the oil to the sensor -swap and test and finally check for error codes to confirm the case.
Make sure your oil level is where it should be-if it is, get it changed, and get a heavier viscosity oil installed, i.e., if you are using 5W-30, go to 5W-40-also pay attention to your idle, if it is low, it will cause the issue you are experiencing-your throttle position sensor, Idle air controller or (worst case) your oil pump may be causing this (also the oil pressure sensor)-easiest thing to do is get the oil changed, you do not offer information that would make answering this, like YEAR, ENGINE, MILES, how long since last oil change.
Before driving again, check your oil level. It is not uncommon for Peugeot's to leak a little oil. Great cars in my opinion, but do leak a little oil. hi ive a peugeot 206cc 02 reg, the STOP light keeps flashing ive checked the normal oil and water but alls ok so whats the problem still runs fine and temp stays where it should??? any tips??
