It would be better if you got the codes read and then post back with the code. There are numerous codes that can cause the check engine light to go on.Auto Zone will do this for free. There are a few other parts stores that do this for free also.Hope this helps.Good luck.

2002 Buick lesabre check engine light flashing and runs rough help

You have a misfire ,spark plug ,coil etc. .. the flashing check engine light is to warn you that the misfire is severe enough to damage the catalytic converter ! You need to take it to a repair right away ! A new catalytic converter can cost as much as $1,000 . The shop will check the code's in the PCM . this will tell them what cylinder is misfiring !

2002 buick lesabre did not pass emission test check engine light

Hi,
Get the check engine light checked out. Some auto parts stores will check it for free - call first. Otherwise, you'll need a mechanic or the dealer.

My 2002 Buick Lesabre starts and idles rough like its trying to die could it be the fuel pressure regulator

It could be anything, but fuel pressure is down on the list. Look for vacuum leaks, dislodged hoses, cracked hoses....much more common for problems there.BUT take the car and have the error codes pulled. Something is amock and the codes are clues. Not answers or the culprit necessarily, clues...

2002 Buick Lesabre codes P0131, P0171, and P1133.

Sounds like you just need to replace the one or two 02 sensors on bank 1.If you have over 100,000 miles the 02 sensos are realy to be replaced just as spark plugs and air filteres. If you wait to long to replace them you take a chance of them not comming out and then when they do go bad you will need to replace the exhaust as well.Hope this helps and good luck.

Check engine light is on and nothing is wrong

Your vehicle’s computer system has self-testing capability. When the computer senses that there is a problem with one of the components or sensors it stores the correspondent trouble code(s) in its memory and lights up the "Check Engine" or "Service Engine Soon" light to tell you that there is a problem and you need to diagnosed and repaired it. The list of possible codes number in the hundreds. The code itself doesn't tell exactly what component is defective - it only indicates where to look, or what engine parameter is out of normal range. Even if you reset the light, if the underlying problem is not addressed it will come back on. If you want to reset the light don't disconnect the battery cable, find a buddy with a code reader.
